At present, the main raw materials for the production of standard waterproof junction box in the world are: ABS engineering plastics, polycarbonate (PC), PC/ABS, glass fiber reinforced polyester, stainless steel. Depending on the site environment, the user can choose the materials that meet the requirements of field use.

ABS engineering plastics: good rigidity, high impact strength, heat resistance, low temperature resistance, chemical resistance, excellent mechanical strength and electrical properties, easy processing, good dimensional stability and surface gloss, easy coating, coloring, Can also spray metal, plating, welding and bonding and other secondary processing properties. It is one of the first choice plastics for electrical components, household appliances, computers and instruments.

Polycarbonate (PC) material: low mechanical properties, which limits its application in engineering plastics.

PC/ABS material: thermoplastic plastic made of alloy, which combines the excellent properties of two kinds of materials, the formability of ABS material and the mechanical property of PC, impact strength and temperature resistance, ultraviolet (UV) and so on, which can be widely used in automobile interior parts. Transaction machines, communications equipment, household appliances and lighting equipment.

Glass fiber reinforced polyester material: it is a composite material consisting of matrix and reinforcements. With good electrical insulation and adhesive properties, high mechanical strength and heat resistance, textile, resistance to general acid and alkali and organic solvents, resistance to mold. The molding shrinkage is small, the volume shrinkage is 1 / 5, after adding the curing agent, it should be heated and formed under pressure, and can also be solidified at normal temperature at the contact pressure.

PC, ABS is a general engineering plastic, at the same time is a thermoplastic. So the difference between them is the difference between the thermosetting plastic and the thermoplastic, and it should be obvious. As for the difference of PC and ABS, the PC is high in transparency, but the price is high, and the solvent resistance of the ABS is good and easy to process

Stainless steel material:Product model-SUS310S, 346L, 316, 304, 304L, 309, 305, 314, 303, 321, 301, 202, 201, etc.

Model 301-good ductility for moulding products. It can also be hardened quickly by mechanical work. Good weldability. Wear resistance and fatigue strength are superior to 304 stainless steel.

Model 302-corrosion resistance is the same as 304, because carbon content is relatively high and strength is better.

Model 303-by adding a small amount of sulfur, phosphorus makes it easier to cut than 304.

Model 304- General model; 18 / 8 stainless steel. GB: 0Cr18Ni9.

Model 309-has better temperature tolerance than 304.

Model 316- after 304, the second most widely used steel, mainly used in the food industry and surgical equipment, the addition of molybdenum to obtain a special corrosion resistance structure. Because of its better corrosion resistance to chloride than 304, it is also used as "marine steel". SS316 is usually used in nuclear fuel recovery plants.

Model 321- Properties similar to 304s except for the addition of titanium to reduce the risk of weld corrosion of the material.

Series 400-Ferritic and martensitic stainless steels

Model 408- good heat resistance, weak corrosion resistance, 11% Cr,8% Ni. 

Type 409-the cheapest model (Anglo-American), usually used as an exhaust pipe for cars, and is ferrite stainless steel (chrome steel).

Model 410-martensite (high strength chromium steel), good wear resistance, poor corrosion resistance.

Model 416-added sulfur to improve the processability of the material.

Model 420-tool grade martensite steel, similar to Brinell high-chromium steel such as the earliest stainless steel. Also used in surgical tools, can do very bright.

Model 430-Ferritic stainless steel, for decoration, for example, for automotive accessories. Good formability, but poor temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.

The type 440 high-strength cutting tool steel, with a slightly higher carbon content, can obtain higher yield strength after proper heat treatment, and the hardness can reach 58HRC and belongs to the most hard stainless steel column. The most common example is the “Shaver sheet”. There are three commonly used models: 440A, 440B, 440C, and 440F (easy to work).

500 series of heat-resistant chromium-resistant alloy steel.

Series 600-martensite precipitation hardened stainless steel.

Model 630 is the most commonly used precipitation-hardened stainless steel model, usually 17-4; 17% Cr, 4% Ni.
