I. Product Overview and Features

Core Positioning: This product is an intelligent wireless temperature and humidity sensor under the Tuya ecosystem, available in two versions: WiFi Version and ZigBee Version. Both versions feature the core attributes of "intelligent linkage detector" and "remote temperature and humidity sensor", and can realize data transmission, remote monitoring, and intelligent device linkage through corresponding wireless protocols, adapting to wireless connection needs in different scenarios.

Basic Common Features:

Both are made of plastic, with dimensions of 515116.5mm and a weight of 18.5g, making them portable and easy to install, and come with retail box packaging;

Support real-time display of temperature and humidity on an LCD screen, and are equipped with a temperature unit switching function (℃/℉) for optional use as needed;

Powered by 2 AAA batteries (batteries not included), with an operating temperature range of -9.9℃ to 60℃, an operating humidity range of 5%RH to 95%, a temperature accuracy of ±1℃, and a humidity accuracy of ±5%;

Support remote data viewing via the Tuya Smart or Smart Life APP, and have historical temperature memory function and family sharing control permission.


Core Differences Between Versions (Exclusive to ZigBee Version):

Protocol Dependence: The ZigBee Version requires a Tuya ZigBee wireless gateway hub for use; it cannot connect to the network directly and needs to access the Tuya smart ecosystem through a gateway;

Connection Characteristics: Adopts the ZigBee 3.0 protocol. Compared with the WiFi Version (2.4GHz WiFi + Bluetooth dual-mode), it focuses more on low power consumption and multi-device self-networking capabilities.

Remote Monitoring and Real-Time Feedback: View temperature and humidity data remotely via the APP. When the temperature fluctuates by more than ±1℃ or the humidity fluctuates by more than ±6%, the device will actively report the data (no repeated reporting if there is no change), ensuring timely synchronization of abnormal data.

Intelligent Linkage and Scene Automation: Can serve as a temperature and humidity data source for ecosystems such as Tuya Smart, Smart Life, Alexa, and Google Home, and link with devices like humidifiers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers (e.g., automatically start the dehumidifier when humidity exceeds the threshold) to realize automatic adjustment of environmental parameters.

Voice Interaction Support: Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home smart speakers, allowing users to query the current temperature and humidity via voice (e.g., "OK Google, check the living room humidity") for more convenient operation.

High Precision and Data Retention: Adopts top-tier sensing components to ensure the accuracy of temperature and humidity detection; the APP can save historical temperature data, facilitating the review of environmental change trends.

Shorter Mandatory Reporting Interval: Compared with the WiFi Version (which requires mandatory reporting once every 8 hours), the ZigBee Version has a mandatory reporting interval of only 30 minutes, with a higher data update frequency. It is suitable for scenarios sensitive to temperature and humidity changes that require high-frequency monitoring.

Low Power Consumption and Long Battery Life: Relying on the low-power characteristics of the ZigBee protocol, the ZigBee Version has better battery life than the WiFi Version under the same battery configuration. It is suitable for long-term unattended areas (such as warehouses and basements) where frequent battery replacement is inconvenient.

Strong Self-Networking and Anti-Interference Capabilities: Supports self-networking of ZigBee devices; multiple sensors can form a stable network through a gateway, covering a wider range (especially suitable for large apartments, multi-story buildings, or industrial workshops). Additionally, its wireless signal has strong anti-interference capabilities, enabling more stable data transmission.

(III) Exclusive Advantages of the WiFi Version

Independent Networking and Fast Connection: Supports 2.4GHz WiFi + Bluetooth dual-mode, which can connect directly to home/office networks without a gateway. Its networking speed is twice that of the single WiFi mode, making initial configuration more convenient. It is suitable for scenarios where a single device is used or the network environment is simple.

Home Smart Environment Management:

WiFi Version: Suitable for small apartments or single-area monitoring (e.g., bedrooms, baby rooms). It can be deployed quickly without an additional gateway, and links with air conditioners and humidifiers in real time to ensure living comfort;

WiFi Version: Suitable for small warehouses or courier stations. It monitors the temperature and humidity of stored goods in real time, and the data can be viewed remotely;

ZigBee Version: Suitable for large cold chain warehouses and logistics transfer stations. Multiple sensors form a self-network to cover all storage areas. High-frequency reporting and low power consumption not only ensure the stability of the cold chain environment but also reduce maintenance costs (e.g., pharmaceutical cold chains, fresh product storage).

Long-Term Unattended Area Monitoring:

For unattended areas such as basements, equipment rooms, and outdoor temporary sheds, the ZigBee Version has more prominent advantages of low power consumption and high-frequency reporting. There is no need for frequent on-site battery replacement, and the 30-minute mandatory reporting ensures that the normal operation of the device can be confirmed in real time even if there is no parameter fluctuation, avoiding the risk of disconnection.
